Latest News - Winter 10/11!

We are now well into the summer season and our thoughts are quickly turning to this winter season.  As the airlines have released flights into Geneva airport for most of this winter season bookings are coming in. Most peak school holiday weeks are now already booked and even weeks in January and March are filling fast. You can check out the latest availability for all of our chalets on this web site and we will keep you up to date with news and events from Chatel and around the Portes du Soleil from now on and throughout the winter season on this page.

Latest Weather & Snow Conditions

During this winter season we will keep you up to date with the latest weather and snow condtions right here on our web site. For a 6 day forecast for Chatel please visit snow-forecast.com

Opening Dates - The Chatel ski resort is planning to open its doors for the winter 10/11 season at weekends during December and everyday from the 12th December. Chatel will again be the last resort to close in the Portes du Soleil on the 27th April 2011. Dates may change due to snow conditions.

Chalet Group Slalom - Latest News

The Chalet Group will again be running its weekly slalom competition towards the end of your weeks holiday. This is a fun event open to all abilities and is exclusive to all guests staying at any Chalet Group chalet.  Your chalet hosts will give you more details when you arrive in Chatel.

The event is held towards the end of your week on the Linga slope and is subject to availability and us having a minimum number of people taking part. You will find results of previous weeks competitions below. All our guests who take part really enjoy this event and each week we have some great trophies and lots of pride up for grabs:

The winter season 2008/09 Champions with 3 wins was Alpine Breaks followed by The Alpine Chalety Company

The winter season 2009/10 Champions with 4 chalet wins is Alpine Quests, second place with 3 wins was Mountain Air Holidays.
